My Story

Hi my name is VJ and i have Cerebral Palsy or C.P. for short. I have had this condition for 20 years now and it has shaped my life. Most people think i am bitter about what has happened but it is quite the opposite. I have seen this as just another challenge I must overcome. I played football and other sports in high school and have had a great life. The one thing I cant stress enough to someone who interacts with someone else with CP is to treat them like you would anyone else. Because of the way my friends and family treated me I now live life as a normal person would. I have had all the experiences that any other normal child would and have grown into a great person.

As I take the turn into adulthood I do so with a smile on my face and the patience to answer the many questions I get about my condition. That is why I am writing today as well, to tell people to not be afraid to ask questions. I don’t know about other people but i am more than happy to educate someone about what has been put on me. thanks for reading and God bless.
